How can we improve Password Safe?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Linux/Unix compatible Version

    It would be nice to have a linux/unix or even platform independent version of the full client.

    Is there any plan to implement the client in a platform independent framework like electron or at least make it compatible to run with mono?

  2. Take a Chill Pill ... VPN crash ... PS opens a crazy HUGE screens! Like, why? stop the drama!

    Like, when the VPN crashes ... PS open those HUGE screens.
    STOP THE DRAMA! I know it crashed... why open so big screens.

  3. All Password Permission Inheritance from OUs

    Currently, when a user creates a password he is assigned All Permissions regardless of what permissions he has on the OU.

    So if a user has Read/Add permissions on an OU, he gets All permissions on the passwords he creates under the same OU.

    This is a security risk, because an upset user can delete all passwords he created before he leaves !

  4. Deleted objects → Quick search in tag descriptions and show tag/description in trash

    Find delete objects also with Tags or Tag Descriptions and show found sets with information of Tag Field and Description (Tag and Description is missing)

  5. Integration with Service now

    We would value if there would be a possible integration with the tool Service now.

    We found different similar products that are currently available for integration with Service now. We are there for considering the options.

  6. Option to share Passwords between users

    We would like to give the users the opportunity to share personal passwords.
    We already saw, that we are able to rightclick PWs in our personal vault and select permissions. There it is possible to add a new user (example User B) to the permissions.

    Now User B can search for the password and finds it with quick search. It sadly doesn't appear in a OU or folder though.

    Our idea would be a folder in PWS called "Shared Items" or something like that. To implement it, the content of this folder would include all PWs a user has access…
